Dermal Fillers

What Are Dermal Fillers ?

Dermal fillers are aesthetic treatments whereby Hyaluronic acid is injected into the skin. They reduce the appearance of unwanted wrinkles, help contour, create volume, and revitalize the skin.

Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the body.  A sugar molecule that binds water and is important in regulating water balance in the skin. It can store 1000 times its weight in water, so it’s great at plumping the skin. Helping to revitalise and add volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and giving a natural softer look.

Dermal fillers are a soft injectable gel consisting of stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid. It is long-lasting but not permanent. The results from having dermal fillers injected can be seen instantly and can last up to 12 months.

Dermal fillers can give a natural-looking result that does not affect facial expression, unlike Anti-Wrinkle injections which freeze the facial muscles. Extremely deep wrinkles and some types of acne scars, however, do not respond to the treatment.
